Owens-Corning | W.R. Grace & Co.
Bendix Corp. | The Gypsum Association

BENDIX CORP.

In 1966, Bendix, a manufacturer of asbestos-containing brakes, addressed the question of asbestos hazards in its products in a letter to its asbestos supplier, stating: "My answer to the problem is: if you have enjoyed a good life while working with asbestos products why not die from it. There’s got to be some cause." Bendix did not put a warning on its brake products until seven years later in late 1973.
